Shumba Guest Lodge is the ideal getaway for friends or families looking for a comfortable self-catering option in the bush. With the possibility of taking part in any of the activities at Shumba Guest Lodge’s two sister safari lodges and game parks Pamuzinda and Chengeta, you can plan your day activities and meals exactly the way you like. Shumba Guest Lodge has a large pool with a children’s paddling area, a bar and dining area and three separate braai areas.
Big Shumba offers a large double bedded bedroom with an adjacent smaller twin bedded bedroom (all with en-suite bathrooms), and two twin bedded bedrooms with separate toilet and shower. For more privacy, there is a 2-room family unit, (1 double, 2 singles). Meals can be enjoyed outside by the braai area or in the main dining room. A bar and lounge and daybeds ensures comfortable relaxation in the evenings and between activities.
Nestling in the shade of indigenous trees, Little Shumba’s thatched lodge offers five bedrooms (three bedrooms en-suite), a lounge and dining room, private gardens and braai areas as well as use of the pool area and dining facilities at Big Shumba just across the lawns.
As the early rays of the sun turn the bush from greenish blue to orange, the first expedition leaves camp and sets off into the vast wilderness. Whether on horseback, comfortably seated in a 4×4 or on foot, the wild bush will be at arm’s length throughout your safari — and chances are you will meet quite a few of the large mammals that has made the African wilderness both famous and feared.

“Overall it was an awesome setting for a wedding the staff were brilliant” –Joan95610
“Its such a lovely cozy place. Great service and delicious food. Took my breath away. We stayed at the little shumba as a family and it was absolutely gorgeous. The stuff helped us alot and it felt like home. Enjoyed the horse rides” – munya-dorry2014
“We attended such a beautiful wedding ceremony held at Pamuzinda, with the reception at Chengeta Lodge, a few km down the road, and part of the same group of companies. The main highlight was being so close to (as well as being able to hand feed) the orphaned giraffe that greeted us on arrival, as well as the herd of elephants that walked past. What a beautiful setting! A true Zimbabwean experience. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, eager to help in any way. We stayed the night at Shumba Lodge, also part of the same company, but prefer Pamuzinda a lot more. Will definitely be back again – such a stunning place!” – Amy L
