“Good value for money, exceptionally attentive staff, tidy grounds and great management. Need one say more? If I went traveling to Zimbabwe overland again, the Lodge would be my first stop! The smallest detail is focused on by all the staff and the manager is the most hands-on I have seen – he spotted us unpacking bags from our vehicle and come over immediately to personally assist in carrying bags – one small example of the attitude of the staff. I would highly recommend the place – we stayed at a number of hotels in Zim on our recent trip and this was our best value-for-money experience.” –Afrikid
“We stayed for 3 nights in the Lodge at the Ancient City. We can highly recommend to stay in this lodge. The rooms are spacious and really nice designed. The view from the balcony was amazing! Also the main building is nice built and the area around the swimming pool has a relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed also the dinner and the breakfast. The management and the staff is really helpful and does everything that the client can enjoy his stay. The lodge is just 3 kilometers away from the ruins. And you can see the ruins also from the terrace of the lodge.” –Marco J
“This place is excellent. I will recommend this to everyone who goes to view the great Zimbabwe ruins. The lodges are excellent, nice spacious rooms designed in an artistic fashion. The food is very good. The scenery and the stone walls resemble the actual ruins.” –Stephen N
